Mr. Sikandar M.Khan

Mr. Sikandar Mustafa Khan graduated as Mechanical Engineer from NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi in 1967. He has a Post Graduate Diploma from the University of New-Castle upon Tyne, UK (1969) and Masters’ Degree & Diploma in Production Engineering (DIC) from Imperial College of Science and Technology, London University (1970). He also attended several management courses locally and abroad, including international Advanced Management Program (1983) at International Management Institute, Geneva, Switzerland and Leadership Development Program at Center for Creative Leadership (Colorado Springs), USA. He participated in Financial Management Course (1989), Management Control Course (1990) at Pakistan Staff College, Lahore and Strategy for Business in Developing Countries Program (1993) at LUMS.

Mr. Khan has been on the Board of Directors of BCL since 1982 and has been serving as Chairman of the Board of BCL since 1994. Besides being Chairman of the Company, he is also Chairman of Millat Tractors Limited, Millat Industrial Products Limited, Millat Equipment Limited and UAE based TIPEG INTERTRADE DMCC Ltd. Mr. Khan previously served as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Millat Tractors Limited during 1985-2004.

Mr. Khan has also served on the Boards of several Companies of both Public and Private Sector organizations including the Engineering Development Board (Government of Pakistan) and the Board of Habib Bank Limited (March, 2010 to April, 2013), the largest private sector Bank of Pakistan. He has varied experience in the Automotive and Engineering Industry and has been associated with it since 1972. He was the Vice President of Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) from October, 1997 to September, 1998.

Mr. Khan is the elected Chairman of the Pakistan Business Council (PBC); which is a business policy advocacy and research organization to meaningfully interact with government and other stakeholders including Foreign Financial Institutions and diplomatic representatives. PBC was formed in 2005 and comprises of the largest corporate sector enterprises in the private sector that have substantial investments in Pakistan’s economy.

He is currently the elected Chairman of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers UK, Pakistan Chapter; a global organization based in London and is also elected as member of Executive Committee of American Pakistan Business Forum in 2013. He is serving as a member of the Board of LUMS and NAMAL Education Foundation. Additionally, he is also serving as a president of Pakistan Foundry Association and  a Director on the Board of Arabian Sea Country Club ,

Mr. Mujtaba Ahmad

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Mujtaba Ahmad holds an engineering degree in Metallurgy from DCET, Karachi and Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from IBA, Karachi and possesses 49 years of industrial experience coupled with a 20 years of teaching experience in DCET, NED and Karachi University as a visiting faculty member.

He attended two 6 months correspondence courses each on Procurement and Factory management and several short courses on Marketing, PERT/CPM, Maintenance, ISO 9000, Quality circle Kaizen & 5S, Profit maximization through Cost reduction, Productivity improvement and Quality improvement techniques. He has also passed the Lead Auditor course on ISO Quality Management System conducted by IQCS Certification, Singapore.

Initially he was trained in Japan for 10 months and worked with Peoples Steel Mills (PSM) for about 6 years in the largest alloy steel plant of Pakistan making stainless and other alloy steels.

Later on, he attended a tailor-made advance Foundry course in England for 3 months and worked for 37 years in the most advanced and No.1 automotive foundry of Pakistan viz., Bolan Castings Ltd. and retired from BCL in 2011 as Deputy Chief Executive Officer. During the period from 2008 to 2011, he also served as member on the Board of Directors of BCL.

Mr. Mujtaba Ahmad has also worked for BCL as a Technical Advisor for two years.

For his contribution in the development of local foundry industry, he was awarded life time achievement award by the Pakistan Foundry Association in 2013.

He has also extensively travelled abroad in connection with the foundry related matters and also attended and participated in different international foundry seminars and exhibitions.

From September 2015 to January, 2022, he worked with a Saudi group as a Tech Consultant/GM to establish a modern foundry and machining facility viz., Naqa Iron Foundry in the industrial city of Yanbu.

Keeping in view his expertise in the field of foundry, the Board of Directors of BCL has appointed Mr. Mujtaba Ahmad as Chief Executive Officer of the Company with effect from June 03, 2022.

Mr. Sohail Bashir Rana

Non Executive Director

Mr. Sohail Bashir Rana is a qualified Mechanical Engineer (1970) from Engineering University, Lahore with over 45 years experience in the automobile sector in Pakistan and abroad. He has attended several management courses locally and abroad including Management Programmes at Ashridge (UK), Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and various Technical, Finance and Marketing courses in UK, UAE and Italy.

He is a Fellow Member of the Institution of Engineers (Pakistan) and Institution of Mechanical Engineers (Pakistan), Member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Member Society of Automotive Engineers (USA).

He has been associated with Millat Tractors in various capacities over the past 36 years heading Technical, Marketing and Finance Departments and as Deputy Managing Director before being appointed Chief Executive of Millat Tractors Ltd, in 2006.

Mr. Sohail was the founder Chief Executive of Millat Equipment Ltd – a Millat Group Company — from 1993 to 2005. This unit is producing highly precise gears, transmission components and sub assemblies for Massey Ferguson tractors.

Mr. Rana has been on the Board of Directors of Bolan Castings Limited since 1993. Besides being Director of the Company, he is also Director on Board of Millat Tractors Ltd, Hyundai Nishat Motor (Pvt.) Ltd and is Managing Director of UAE based TIPEG INTERTRADE DMCC Ltd.

Mr. Laeeq Uddin Ansari

Mr. Laeeq Uddin Ansari is a Mechanical Engineer from University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore with over 40 years of experience in the automobile sector in Pakistan. He attended number of local & foreign training programs, seminars and conferences.

Mr. Ansari has been on the Board of Directors of BCL since 1993. He also served as Chief Executive of Bolan Castings Limited during 2002-2005.

He Joined Millat Tractors Limited in 1983 and worked in different capacities as Head of production, quality control, technical, finance and marketing departments of the Company. In 2009, he was appointed as Chief Executive of Millat Tractors Limited and holds the position of CEO till 2011.

Presently, he is serving as Director on the Boards of Millat Tractors Limited, Millat Industrial Products Limited, Millat Equipment Limited , and UAE based TIPEG INTERTRADE DMCC Ltd.

Mr. Syed Muhammad Irfan Aqueel

Mr. Syed Muhammad Irfan Aqueel is a Chemical Engineer from N E D University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi. He is also a certified director from Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance and serving as Director on the Board of Karachi Tools Dies & Moulds Centre.

After working for over 23 years in the chemical process industry in areas such as technical, plant operations, project management and business management, Mr. Aqueel joined the Millat Group in January 2005. During the period from 2005 to 2011, he served as Chief Executive of Millat Equipment Limited. Subsequently, he was appointed as Chief Executive of Millat Tractors Limited in January 2012 and held this position until November 2022. From 2014 to 2020, he also served as member on the Board of Directors of BCL.

Mr. Aamir Amin

Independent Director

Mr. Aamir Amin is CFO of National Investment Trust Limited (NITL) – one of the largest and oldest Asset Management Company in Pakistan. Currently, He is also serving as Head of Corporate Governance & Corporate Affairs and member of Investment Committee. Fund management is dynamic job especially when one is also member of Investment Committee. One has to look at the things at Macroeconomic level, and Growth prospects. He has to have holistic view of the financial markets, industry related developments, Challenges being faced by individual listed Companies and host of other factors. His rich experience at NITL is complemented by extensive Board Room exposure in listed Companies as nominee Director. He has worked on Strategy & Policy formulations, implementing good Corporate Governance practices, financial management of the Companies in diversified sector, restructuring of ailing Companies and Enterprise risk management etc. There are different stakeholders in business and managing their interests has always been his priority.

Aamir joined NIT in July 2006 as Controller Accounts and elevated to the position of CFO in January 2008 and held the position of Company Secretary from November 2016 till February 2018 . Mr. Amin is a Chartered Accountant by profession from Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) with training from Ernst & Young – Pakistan and also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

Presently , he is also serving as Director on the Boards of Balochistan Wheels Ltd., Mitchell’s Fruit Farm Ltd., Bata Pakistan Ltd. and Indus Dyeing and Manufacturing Company Ltd.

Mr. Abdul Hamid Dagia

Mr. Abdul Hamid Dagia is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan, 1970. He worked at senior management level in Smith Kline & French of Pak Limited, K- Electric, Jahangir Siddiqui & Co. Limited and Jahangir Siddiqui Investment Bank Limited.

He was member of Karachi Stock Exchange Limited & member of its Finance & Taxation Sub-Committee.

Mrs.Tabassum Rana

Mrs.Tabassum Rana has over 34 years of extensive experience working with State Bank of Pakistan.She did her Masters in economics from Karachi University and MS in Economic Policy and Planing from Northestern University, Massachusetts USA. In her career as Central Banker she has worked with core policy Departments such as Monetary policy , Engineering ,Business Support and Facilitation , Development Finace and External Relations Departments. She started her career as Research Analyst and rose to leadership position of Joint Director.
